Evocative and extraordinary, such is the Cinque Terre National Park, and the best way to discover it is hiking on its numerous cliff-side trails, trails that run through vineyards and small villages and across hills that decline – abruptly, sometimes – towards the sea rocks and its transparent waters.
Historically, the activities of Cinque Terre were agriculture, to which we owe the famous terraced landscape, and fishing.
There was no cellar in Cinque Terre without its fair share of jars of salted anchovies, and the smell of wine and fish would merge in an intoxicating symbiosis.
Local Cuisine
The Ligurian cuisine is a philosophy of a simple, genuine life with flavors and aromas as authentic as Ligurian landscapes.
It is a “peasant” cuisine, closely linked to territory and seasonality.
The products it uses are locally sourced and its dishes unique.
It is a land and sea cuisine, a natural union of the two souls that distinguish the territory: the coast and the inland.
