La Malà Camere di Charme is located in Via San Giovanni Battista 29, in the westward part of Vernazza known by locals as Luvegu. Dominated by the ancient round watchtower, it faces both the sea and village.
Notwithstanding its central position (it takes scarcely a couple of minutes to get to the famous square on the sea or to the railway station) it enjoys a privacy and silence that are both rare and invaluable.
The nearest airports are the Pisa Airport "Galileo Galilei" and the International Airport of Genova "Cristoforo Colombo".
Vernazza is located along the railway line Genoa-La Spezia-Pisa-Livorno-Rome . To reach Vernazza you can arrive with the Intercity trains to Levanto or La Spezia and then continue with local trains, whose rides (during the day) are very frequent, especially in summer. During the summer there is also an extremely convenient shuttle service organised by the “Ente Parco delle Cinque Terre”, which goes from La Spezia to Levanto and back, stopping at all stations.
During most of the season, a convenient shuttle service 5 Terre Express organised by the Park Authority connects La Spezia and Levanto stopping at all locations of the area.
Note: From the 1st of April to the 1st of October it is possible to travel comfortably between La Spezia, Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, Monterosso and Levanto every 15 minutes from morning until evening.

The cost for a single ride within the 5 Terre area is € 5 per person. Alternatively, the CINQUE TERRE CARD may be used. Available in 1-day or multi-day versions, the Card grants you unlimited train rides within the Levanto-La Spezia route and unlimited access to the 5 Terre Park trails. 5 Terre Parks may be purchesd at all 5 Terre railway stations, as well as in Levanto and La Spezia stations, and is is also availble for purchase online.
To get to Vernazza, you’ll have to take the panoramic "Litoranea delle Cinque Terre" (the Cinque Terre Coast Road), that connects Monterosso to Riomaggiore and runs mostly at about 400 mt above sea level. Not the easiest of drives, but you’ll be rewarded by breathtaking views.
Highway A 12 Genova – Livorno, exit at Carrodano junction. From about 400 mt above sea level, drive down to Levanto, then uphill again to Colle di Gritta where you’ll find the junction for Monterosso. You’ll find the junction for Vernazza shortly after passing the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Soviore. From this road-fork on, the panoramical, sharply turning road, though well kept, is extremely narrow, you’ll therefore need to pay great attention to vehicles coming from the opposite direction. Estimated driving time: 45 minutes.
The S. Stefano Magra junction, on the A12 Genova – Livorno or the A15 Parma – La Spezia, is connected to La Spezia by a fast motorway. Once in town, follow the signs for Cinque Terre. You’ll drive along the water-front, pass the Navy Yard and take the Litoranea delle Cinque Terre (SS370). The junction for Vernazza is located a few kilometers after the village of Volastra. At this point, the road narrows and goes steeply downwards. In this case also, it is important to pay the greatest attention to vehicles coming uphill. Estimated driving time: 45 minutes.
In spring and summer, when the sea is calm, it is possible to reach Vernazza with one of the boats that make scheduled service from many places and enjoy the spectacular view of the coast.
